4 restaurant workers at Chatham Squire on Cape Cod test positive for Coronavirus

Four employees of the Chatham Squire have tested positive for coronavirus, prompting its ownership to close down the restaurant on Sunday for a deep cleaning, according to the Cape Cod Chronicle.

Officials with the Chatham Natural Resources Department confirmed the four positive COVID diagnoses, the Chronicle reports. One the workers tested positive over the weekend, and the others received their positive results on Monday.

Chatham Squire owner Todd Hearle told the Chronicle that the eatery will be closed for a few more days while the cleaning is underway.

“We have been in contact with the Chatham Board of Health and have taken every precaution necessary in keeping with state guidelines,” Hearle told the Chronicle in an email. “Health and safety is our first priority.”

The infections at the Chatham Squire come just over a month after at least 10 people tested positive for COVID-19 after attending a party in Chatham of mostly restaurant workers.
