As reported by my good friend and colleague, Scott Hounsell, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died. For her family and friends, this is indeed a sad event…my condolences. The loss of any human being is, of course, a terrible thing.

Having said that, President Trump now needs to take some decisive action. He has been given an historic opportunity to reshape the United States Supreme Court…possibly for decades. As all of us are brutally aware, although having a nominal conservative majority, the pusillanimous conduct of the Chief Justice has adulterated that to such a degree, that the leftists continue to win the truly important fights. It’s so bad, that Chief Justice Roberts has ruled that a sitting President must show just cause, before repealing an Executive Order promulgated by his predecessor. Really?
After the de rigueur platitudes about the tragic loss of a trailblazing female litigator, President Trump needs to move forthrightly and publicly to nominate the most notorious conservative possible to fill her seat. He also needs to make this appointment a campaign issue. The President needs to be on the phone tonight with Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
That conversation needs to be HOW McConnell will shepherd the most conservative candidate possible through the confirmation process, prior to the election. Now is not the time to grow weak at the knees. If McConnell is able to persuade the President to nominate a “compromise” candidate, then Donald J. Trump will almost certainly be defeated by the senile old man from “Scranton!!”
While we are here, let’s chat about what will certainly be the Left’s charges of indelicacy or even accusations of “dancing on Ginsburg’s grave.” Let us all remember, this woman openly and notoriously, supported the murder and dismemberment of innocent children in the womb. Mitch McConnell should say a prayer tomorrow morning for RBG and then schedule Judge Amy Coney Barrett for a vote as soon as tomorrow afternoon. Every day is another 3,000 Americans who will die until Roe v. Wade is reversed. Think about the number of people who died at the World Trade Center on 9/11. That is how many Americans die from abortion every single day! Tomorrow is not too soon!
Although it is certainly un-Christian for me to celebrate Bader-Ginsberg’s passing, I’m pretty sure I’m under no obligation to mourn it. President Trump isn’t either.
