UFC President Dana White has a strong friendship with longtime friend Tom Brady. Therefore, he had reason to be excited about the NFL legend acquiring ownership stakes in the Las Vegas Raiders. The ex-NFL QB recently made headlines after news of his involvement with the Raiders went viral. White, who already owns a box at the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium is evidently more than happy for Brady to join in on the show.
Widely regarded as the greatest NFL quarterback of all time, Tom Brady announced his retirement earlier this year. The 45-year-old played for the New England Patriots from 2001 to 2019 and the next three years for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Following his retirement, Brady still has his hands full with several lucrative business ventures. Being a successful businessman himself, White had a few things to say about Brady’s post-retirement life as well.
Dana White explains why Tom Brady will be busier now
In a recent interview he gave to TMZ, Dana White discussed having Tom Brady in Vegas following the Las Vegas Raiders deal. White said, “Well, I think there’s more opportunity for us to hang out now that he’s around more in Vegas.”
He also had high praise for Brady as an athlete, saying, “Listen, man, he’s a guy that has focused his entire career at being the best and staying in the best shape, being able to play, and having some longevity in the sport.”
The $500M worth White also mentioned how Brady might find himself busier in retirement, referencing his new ownership deal and other new ventures in the pipe. White mentioned the latest Raiders deal, Brady’s partnership with the WNBA franchise Las Vegas Aces and his impending analyst role on the Fox broadcast.
He said, “So you know, he’s transitioned into retirement not too well. Because I think he’s actually gonna be busier now than he was when he played.” Brady’s new deal with the Raiders will solidify his relationship with White one step further. He is already an investor in White’s UFC, along with several other celebrity figures.
Furthermore. Brady has returned White’s support with his own love for the UFC. Quite recently, he gave a shoutout to UFC star Conor McGregor’s new Netflix documentary.
