N. Ireland: Fears Trump tariffs could impact peace agreement

The carefully negotiated post Brexit trade deal was supposed to give Northern Ireland the best of both worlds – part of the UK, but also inside Europe’s free market.

There were fears that Trump’s tariffs could risk the future of the Northern Ireland peace agreement, which the US helped to broker more than a quarter of a century ago. But now with the latest punitive tariff plan suddenly put on pause – it’s anyone’s guess.
