After all sorts of speculation, on Wednesday news broke that Bill Belichick has a new home.
Chapel Bill: six-time Super-Bowl-winning head coach Bill Belichick is finalizing a deal to become the new head coach at North Carolina, sources tell me, @PeteThamel and @ClowESPN.

The idea that Belichick would go to the world of college football and North Carolina would have been impossible to predict even just a month ago, but sometimes unexpected things happen. Twists are taken. Chaos ensues. And here we are.
If it is not obvious this is relevant to the Dallas Cowboys given that they are potentially going to be in the market for a new head coach when this season is over. Given that “when this season is over” is in all likelihood about a month from now it is a rather big deal.
Belichick to North Carolina has to increase the likelihood of Mike McCarthy returning to the Dallas Cowboys
We are really just connecting dots here, but how can you not?
Bill Belichick may have lost some of his luster during his final seasons with the New England Patriots, which saw the Cowboys defeat him for the first and second ever times by the way, but at the end of the day he is still Bill Belichick. If he wants to coach your football team then you ought to at least entertain the idea.
Belichick’s agreement to head to Chapel Hill means that he is out of the picture, which brings up the question of what options do/would the Cowboys conceivably have?
It stands to reason t
