Top executives from Exxon Mobil, BP America, Chevron, and Shell Oil testified Thursday at a House Oversight Committee hearing in what Rep. Ro Khanna promises will be a year-long investigation into whether oil companies misled the public about climate change.

Those executives probably didn’t expect to be grilled on racism, but Rep. Cori Bush was happy to inform them that continuing to promote fossil fuels meant promoting “environmental racism and violence to black and brown communities.”

Rep. Bush wraps her questioning of energy industry execs: “Given each of your roles in these attacks on our humanity, you all should resign. Thank you” pic.twitter.com/E9QW2813Xo

— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) October 28, 2021

They should all resign and … President Biden’s magic electric car that goes from coast to coast on a single charge will appear and save everyone.

As a show of good will, they should cut off her access to both

— marilyn maupin (@marilynmaupin) October 28, 2021

Environmental racism? Are you serious?

— justin cowley (@jcoww) October 28, 2021

literally everything they don’t like = white supremacy

can’t they just say they just don’t like something

— robotic (@robotic_attempt) October 28, 2021

This was the plan all along, making any and everything racist, no matter how little sense makes

— Justin Franks (@FRANKSJUSTIN) October 28, 2021

— Mark Fisher ‎ن (@Sadsushi) October 28, 2021

Apparently, she runs on hot air. What lunacy.

— B Hanson (@SCPioneer) October 28, 2021

When everything is white supremacy, nothing is actually white supremacy.

— WoofoWallstreet (@JojoJeronimo) October 28, 2021

She must believe the race card gives her a pass for supporting soaring utility prices for her constituents. And should more than interest somebody into looking into any “green” company donors or investments. At least it used to.

— zulupapaquebec (@zulupapaquebec) October 28, 2021

They hate capitalism period. Calling it white supremacy is beyond ignorant. These people need to be kicked out of office and the people who vote for them should be ashamed.

— GunTraders.org (@Guntradersorg) October 28, 2021

It’s just a comedy skit to listen to her now. Literally the sun is going to be white supremacy soon enough.

— Tyler David (@tylerfunk14) October 28, 2021

The sun is white supremacy because white people tend to live in the suburbs where there are trees to block the solar radiation; blacks who live in cities paved with asphalt are therefore hardest hit by climate change.

Bless her heart, she’s…special.

— Usually Right (@normouspenis) October 28, 2021

No one is forcing people to live near an oil refinery.

Ah, the marriage of racism and climate change! It’s like a double-word score in intersectionality!

— InvadeRay (@Invaderay) October 28, 2021

Yeah, all those Nigerian energy companies being run by white people, and the Saudis, and Iranians, Chinese, Brazilians…. Oh, wait.

— ClimbTheMtn (@MtnTha) October 28, 2021

I thought ignorance was supposed to be blissful…guess she’s different.

— Eddie NeSmith(Conservative W/O a Party) (@gamecocksSecE) October 28, 2021

From the looks of it, I doubt she could walk more than a few hundred feet without needing to get into a car, and probably produces more methane than a field full of cows.

— Rising serpent 🇺🇸 (@rising_serpent) October 28, 2021

The energy race card. Alrighty.

— Donna Esnard (@donnae137) October 28, 2021

Empower yourself by letting go of the toxic need to engage in victimhood while using the color of your skin as the catalyst. There is a level a freedom one achieves when embracing integrity, authenticity and personal responsibility. You won’t be disappointed.
