August is shaping up to be a good month for your continued coronavirus Netflix binge watching. Although there aren’t too many big-name originals debuting or returning, there are more than enough movie favorites coming to Netflix in August 2020 to fill the void.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t anything new to check out. I, for one, am definitely intrigued by Biohackers, the German sci-fi thriller debuting on August 20. “Mia goes to medical school to get close to a professor she suspects had a hand in her past family tragedy and gets tangled in the world of biohacking,” reads the Netflix description. I’m in.
Returning are your favorite shoplifters in season two of Trinkets, and your friendly neighborhood Devil for part one of the final season of Lucifer.
But really, it’s the non-Netflix additions that keep this writer attached to her screen. For all of those rewatching or becoming acquainted with Avatar: The Last Airbender lately, all four seasons of its follow-up, The Legend of Korra, hit Netflix on August 14.
Or if you’re in the mood for a medieval comedy that’s sexy, funny, and starring the one and only Heath Ledger, A Knight’s Tale will be available first thing on August 1.
