Crossovers are certainly not unheard of when it comes to games and movies, however, Black Desert Mobile is, interestingly, breaking into fusing Netflix series into its canon with an upcoming crossover with recently released Netflix series Cursed.
Cursed, for the unaware, is a recently released ten-episode medieval fantasy series which released onto Netflix on the 17th of this month. It’s a reimagining of the Arthurian legend which instead puts a gifted teenager named Nimue at the centre of the story – ultimately she is destined to become the lady of the lake, but an army of red paladins stands in the way of her quest.
Both Netflix and Pearl Abyss will be running marketing to promote the campaign, but we’re pleased to be able to reveal an outline of the content which will be coming to the mobile MMO when the content goes live on the 28th of this month.
The crossover event will feature a string of new content tied to the world of cursed, which is expected to feature new enemies as well as an opportunity to directly tie the two series together. It’s certainly interesting times when a TV series and live product can knot together seamlessly.

It’s quite an interesting development for the MMORPG, which achieved an impressive 20 million downloads within its first month, and in itself was a risky mobile-only follow-up to the originally PC-exclusive release. Where other IPs have struggled to establish a new player base when adapting, or even porting, to mobile, Pearl Abyss’ Black Desert series managed to cross over with little issue.
The Black Desert Mobile X Cursed crossover goes live on the 28th of this month.
